School Holiday Programs

Looking for an exciting way to keep your children entertained over the school holidays?

Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre has been assessed as EXCEEDING the National Quality Standard in their recent Quality and Assessment Rating visit by the Department of Education and Training.

About our Vacation Care Program

We are a regulated, licensed children’s service. We follow the National Quality Framework, and Education and Care services National Regulations 2011.

Our programs are based on the foundation of working collaboratively with children, educators and forming partnerships with families.

We create a welcoming environment where all children and families are respected and actively encouraged to collaborate with educators about program decisions, this ensures that experiences are meaningful. Educators draw on their professional knowledge, observations and discussions to form ideas for each program. We then link this information to the outcomes from My Time Our Place, (which is the curriculum we follow) and choose appropriate experiences to set up the learning environment.

When can I book my child in to the program?

When the next program gets released, the program brochure will be available in the downloads section of this page.

Bookings generally open 3 - 4 weeks prior to the commencement of the program, so keep your eye on this space! The next program bookings will open on Monday 4th September.

The next program will run from Monday 25th September - Friday 6th October

Program times: 8am - 6pm 

Due to licensing requirements, our programs have a restricted number of places available each day. Therefore getting in early to ensure you don’t miss out is important.  (Places are allocated by following the ‘Priority of Access Guidelines and the order the bookings are received.)

Please Note: Bookings made after the closing date will incur a $5 late fee per day, per child. Bookings cannot be taken over the phone and places cannot be held.

 What forms do I need to fill in?
 

1. Complete all areas in enrolment form (link to the right) for each child.

2. Complete a Booking Form (link to the right), one for each child.

3. Complete a Routine Outing Form (link to the right) one for each child annually.

4. Scan copies or present in-person a copy of Birth Certificate, Immunisation Forms and/or Custody Orders (If you have already provided these in 2016, this is not necessary).

5. Email your forms to monica.wescombe@ymca.org.au.  We recommend you attach a read receipt to your email to confirm delivery.  Alternatively you can deliver them in person to Customer Service.

Please read all forms carefully, as all the documentation needs to be filled in correctly for your child’s enrolment to be accepted. All enrolments via email must have the documents attached. Please contact the centre if you have any questions about the enrolment process. 


Step-by-step guide to booking your child in to the School Holiday Program:

Please allow up to five days for your confirmation letter to be emailed (unfortunately due to the high number of bookings we receive, it is impossible to process them on the day they come in). If you have not received a confirmation letter, after five days, then please contact the Centre.
 
If your child has Anaphylaxis, an Allergy or Asthma then a COLOUR COPY of the ACTION PLAN must be given at time of enrolment, and be current (dated within 12months), or your booking will not be accepted.
 
Lunch orders are available!
 
If you would like lunch supplied for your child, please fill out the lunch order form which can be found in the downloads section of this page. The cost for the lunch order will be charged at time of payment for the program and no government rebates can be applied to this amount.
